Combining an adventurous expedition through wild trails with the subsequent relaxation of a van tour through the most beautiful paths of the island is our purpose.
We will first explore on foot the surprises of this unique nature, a village hidden in the mountains and the impressive waterfall of Salto do Prego; then we will witness with our own eyes an old whalers’ port, the cheerful sway of small boats at the pier, dancing to the rhythm of the tide, and the silent beauty of Ponta do Sossego.
This is an experience that fills human reservoirs with beauty and restores confidence in the possibilities of life on our planet.

Itinerário

The beginning of an adventure.
- After checking in at the store and being picked up from Ponta Delgada, our adventure begins. Our guide will welcome you and lead you to one of our comfortable vehicles for a great experience.

East end.
- Once ready, we’ll leave Ponta Delgada heading towards Faial da Terra. That’s where we’ll start our circular trail Faial da Terra — Salto do Prego.

Sanguinho
- In our hike, we’ll pass through a hidden mountain village called Sanguinho. It was abandoned by its residents since the 1970s when they sought better conditions elsewhere. Currently, the houses are being restored due to the village’s charm.

Salto do Prego
- Next stop: Salto do Prego, where you’ll find an impressive waterfall. Take all the time you need to admire it. You’ll have the opportunity to take a dip in its crystal-clear waters. We’ll also have a light meal before hitting the road again.

Vila do Faial da Terra
- After this wonderful excursion, we’ll make a stop in the center of the village of Faial da Terra. Surrounded by nature, between the ocean and the mountains, Faial da Terra is a beautiful village where tranquility is the key word.
- We’ll have time to enjoy and relax at the old whalers’ port before moving on to the second part of the day.

Ponta do Sossego
- The road takes us to several viewpoints along the Northeast coast. Among them, we will visit Ponta do Sossego and Vista dos Barcos.
- These landscapes are especially famous on Instagram. In fact, the tall green cliffs with flowers of all colors create a beautiful setting.
- We’ll explore the place that has been considered the region with the richest flora in all of Europe.

Ribeira dos Caldeirões
- Our last stop of the day will be at Ribeira dos Caldeirões Park, a natural park full of waterfalls.
- The largest waterfall is about 40 meters high, and you’ll have the opportunity to contemplate and absorb these nature’s vibrations.

Way back home
- At the end of this experience, we will drop you back in Ponta Delgada.
