Van Tour to Nordeste
The Northeast is also called the “tenth island” for its complete perfection.
We’ll take you to the slopes where the sight of the blue and white sea impresses the retina like a liquid bath of light; to the fragrant woods where native birds chirp, flitting from branch to branch; where the moss exudes a scent of clean earth and humidity.
We’ll stop by streams, swift, cool, and rugged.
We’ll pause at one or two stops to taste specialties or simply record the valuable moment.

Beginning of an adventure
- After checking in at the store and picking up from Ponta Delgada, our adventure begins. Our guide will welcome you and lead you to one of our comfortable vehicles for a great experience.

Viewpoint of Santa Iria
- Our first stop on our tour will be at the Viewpoint of Santa Iria, a place with a clear and spectacular view over the sea, in the municipality of Ribeira Grande.

Nordeste
- The next stop is the village of Nordeste, where we will visit several points of interest, such as the bridge and the church.

Pico do Bartolomeu
- Still in the first part of the tour, we will make some stops at Pico do Bartolomeu (weather permitting). At 900 meters above sea level, this viewpoint offers an excellent panorama of the east coast of the island.
- This is a protected area where the Azores Bullfinch lives. It is an endemic species of Azorean birds that can sometimes be observed in this location, especially in the summer.

Ponta do Sossego
- The road takes us to several viewpoints along the coast of Nordeste. Among them, we will visit Ponta do Sossego and Vista dos Barcos.
- These landscapes are particularly famous on Instagram. In fact, the tall green cliffs with flowers of all colors create a beautiful scene.
- We will explore the place that has been considered the region with the richest flora in all of Europe.

Lunch at a local restaurant
- Try some of the most delicious traditional dishes that the Azores have to offer.

Vigia da Baleia
- After an interesting morning, we will continue our adventure. It will be time to head to a famous viewpoint called Vigia da Baleia.

Ribeira dos Caldeirões
- We hit the road again towards Ribeira dos Caldeirões Park. This is a natural park filled with waterfalls. The tallest waterfall here is over 40 meters high.
- You’ll have the opportunity to contemplate and soak in the vibes of nature.

Coroa da Mata
- We’ll also have some time to stop at Coroa da Mata viewpoint and enjoy the coastal landscape.

Way back home
- At the end of this experience, we will drop you back in Ponta Delgada.
